SPECS Grows Stronger

SPECS is pleased to announce the new appointments of:

Dave Smale as Branch Manager of the Calgary, AB Office. Dave joined SPECS in 2016, bringing with him 38-plus years of experience in the construction and restoration industry, 15 years of which in an operational management role while owning and operating a successful restoration company in Alberta.  Dave is a major loss specialist and was an integral part of the Fort McMurray efforts on behalf of SPECS. He is a Certified Journeyman Carpenter.

Cori LeBlanc has joined SPECS as an Appraiser in our Calgary branch. Previously a Project Manager, Cori has over 7 years of experience in the restoration industry and comes from a construction background. Cori holds training from IICRC, HAAG, ACSA, as well as many other industry courses. He has worked with numerous insurers and is an organized detail-oriented individual capable of adapting to the ever-changing industry.

Jason Thorburn has joined SPECS as an Appraiser in our Langley branch. Jason is a seasoned project manager with over 18 years of experience in the restoration industry. He is an RIA Certified Restorer (CR) and has received his Cleaning and Restoration certification from The Institute of Inspection. Jason is a continuous learner and has taken numerous Building Construction and Restoration Courses through BCIT and industry associations.

Hans Caspers as Branch Manager of the Edmonton, AB office.  Hans has a degree in Business Management and 12 years of experience in the construction and restoration industry, 10 years of which in the BC interior where he held a leadership position with one of the top restoration companies.

Kim Koroll, Appraiser-Building Consultant, joins SPECS as the newest member of the Kelowna office. Kim brings with her over 12 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager in the Restoration industry. Her experience involves working on large complex residential and commercial losses, along with specialty coverage for all aspects of school remediation in the local districts.  She holds her IICRC AMRT, WRT and FSRT certifications.

Melanie Trach, Contents Appraiser, has relocated to the Kelowna office from SPECS’ Calgary, AB location. Melanie’s 11 plus years of experience in contents management and extensive contents restoration training, with IICRC certification, make her a great addition to the Kelowna team.
