SPECS Limited establishes new office in Newfoundland
Langley, BC, April 10, 2018– SPECS Limited, Canada’s leading independent provider of property damage consulting has expanded its national footprint with the opening of a new office in Newfoundland. The office will be managed by Barry Whittle, a seasoned construction and restoration professional.
Located on the Avalon Peninsula, in Conception Bay, this new branch office is well positioned to service both Newfoundland and Labrador.
We are very excited to have Barry Whittle on our team. Barry has worked on the island in the field of construction and restoration for over 20 years. For many years Barry and his family have successfully owned and operated a full-service construction and renovation company.
Barry is exceptionally knowledgeable, efficient, and service focused. He knows the region and has developed strong relationships that will serve him well as he builds his team at this new branch location.

SPECS is pleased to announce the addition of its newest Contents Appraisers in the Prairie Region.
Sarah York joins our Edmonton Branch. Sarah brings with her 5 years of experience specializing in Insurance Restoration, with a focused and dedicated understanding of the contents process from start to finish. She has been responsible for running crews that handle emergency claims and is recognized as a safety officer along with in-depth training in Water, Fire and Mould. Her appraisal talent expands beyond the insurance realm as she also holds a real estate license and knows what makes a house a home. This background and her outgoing personality and soft skills are a great addition to our team.
Melanie Trach joins our Calgary office. Melanie has worked in restoration her entire working life, starting out doing demos and listing on site, and then specializing in contents restoration for the past 4 years. She has her water and odour IICRC courses, fine arts handling courses, and an appraisal course through a US Conservatory. She has a network within the contents world in both Canada and United States.
